Mac OSX 10.2.8 and Pepper X.1.0 (is there another version than this?). And yes, everytime I open a newly saved file, it opens as Read Only and I have to click on the Icon to get to be writeable. I'm not sure if my fix works or not; some files open as writeable some don't.
